The time I need to prepare an order for shipping varies. For details, see individual items.

I'll do my best to meet these shipping estimates, but can't guarantee them. Actual delivery time will depend on the shipping method you choose.

The following items can't be returned or exchanged

Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:

  • Custom or personalized orders
  • Perishable products (like food or flowers)
  • Digital downloads
  • Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons)
  • Items on sale

Conditions of return

Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will I get a tracking number?

This depends on the shipping method you choose. Cheaper methods do not offer tracking numbers, but we recommend that you choose a shipping method that comes with a tracking number.
This protects both the seller and the customer.
If for some reason your package does not arrive, and you have a tracking number, we can investigate the situation and if it has been lost, we will offer a refund, or store credit (Depending on the situation)
If NO TRACKING was purchased, we CANNOT offer a refund. We need proof that the package has not arrived. We photograph each package, with all postage labels, to prove that the item was addressed and mailed properly.
We also DO NOT ship internationally by surface, due to past delivery failures.

Do you offer refunds?

We do offer refunds, but we require that you contact us within 3 days of receiving the item. We do not lend costumes/clothing out for photo or video shoots, only to have them returned afterwards; which is why our return policy is strict. We would like to open up a conversation about your concerns before allotting a refund, offering a solution, exchange or credit. If we have not been contacted within 3 days of you receiving the item, we cannot offer a refund.
If you have contacted us within the 3 days after receiving the item, and have been allotted a refund, the item must be sent back to us within 14 days in the condition it arrived in, with all promo materials. Shipping fees and customs/duty fees are non refundable.

Who works at Iron Vulture?

Currently, it is just me, Messina Salter. I run the entire business; from designing, sewing, photographing, listing items and social media. I do, however, have help in many facets. My spouse helps me with shipping and supply runs and my father helps me with metal, tech work and finding unique costume elements.
I also work in the TV & Film costume department, where I have the privilege of gaining industry input and knowledge from some of Toronto's finest costume builders, costume designers and costume breakdown artists.
In the future, as Iron Vulture grows, I would like to hire a team of creative professionals to help us produce more creations, more size variations and to broaden our social media presence.
